Palakatwa is an initiative by Suyash Tilak along with Vidya Maha Mandal pune for the specially-abled students who come from a very poor economic background. Under the initiative you can donate or sponsor a kid’s education for a year by paying for the expenses of his/her education for that particular year. (This is a yearly program) (books, study material, uniforms, stay are included in the one-time expenses.) This is also covered under 80G act. The Vidya Maha Mandal is an old educational institute based in Pune. They have a wing specially dedicated to the students with disabilities related to speech and hearing. Once you sponsor a student’s education, you can keep a track of his/her education for the year as his parent and see if he/she is being benefitted with education out of the funds you have put in.

The wing now has over 40 students and are happily learning new things and achieving new heights,overcoming their challenges and showing their extra-ordinary skill and gifted talent.
The students of palakatwa also managed to mark a record in the Limca Book Of Records for making 108 Ganpati idols out of clay in 3 hoursunder the guidance of Sumeet Patil and Suyash Tilak.
The initiative is to constantly keep teaching new things to these kids with help of various workshops and successful individuals too. To encourage and make them able to stand on their own feet.
